This sink doesn’t date from 1624. Not even from the 1700s (more on our place’s prior renovations to come, but some previous owner did big a major update in the 18th century, according to the national historical preservation architect who visited). One of the contractors thought it might be from the 1930s. If they had running water then it would have been a luxury—houses in our nearby village didn’t get indoor plumbing until the 1970s, and our own house used to be the village showers.

Back to the sink. It has to go. (That water valve pipe is going–moving–as well.)

It went.
A beautiful shower will take its place. What was a laundry room will become a bathroom. White, with black accents.
That is so typical
